Lobby Watch
A system for office-building lobby directories. The TVs in the lobby. The tenant list on them. A dashboard that watches both.
What it does
Each directory is a small computer behind a TV. The page is a list of those screens, grouped by building. Open it and you know if a directory is up.
- See the fleet even if this page is closed
- Edit tenants from the building, not from the lobby
- Silence one screen without turning the rest off
- Green when the TV is on and showing the directory. A look when it is off or has no picture. A reach problem when the box is not answering
- If the building internet drops, the TV keeps the last directory
It is running on a live office-building fleet.
Why it exists
A lobby directory that nobody watches is a dark screen and a stale tenant list. The work is not a pretty board. The work is knowing, from a phone, whether the board is still doing its job.
Same shop as the festival software. Different field. Same standard: build the tool the operation actually uses.
What this is not
Not a digital-signage catalog. Not a one-time install that nobody checks. Not a tenant website.
Need the lobbies watched
If the directories have to stay current and someone has to know when a TV goes dark, write.
